Riverside Bridge Reopening Postponed

The Riverside Drive bridge, northeast of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way bridge over the Whitaker Bayou, is expected to reopen Friday, July 27. The bridge was scheduled to reopen today; however, maintenance on the bridge has been more extensive than anticipated, prompting the extended closure.

Local traffic can access each end of the bridge from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way and North Riverside Drive. Only the bridge is closed to traffic. Motorists should follow the detour signs.
